Improve your English at the English Café

English Cafe.png

The best way to improve your English is to practice speaking in a friendly environment. Our English Café meets weekly at Trinity Presbyterian Church to help those in the community improve their English.

Light refreshments are provided, and those wishing to improve their English will be at tables with English conversation leaders. Week to week there will be different topics that help you improve your English and learn more about living in Canada. You will meet people from the community and hone your English speaking skills.

There is no cost to come to the English Café and there is no requirement about how well you speak English. We will match you with an English-speaking leader and other students that best meets your needs.

This is not an ESL class, but ESL students will find the English Café is a great place to practice speaking English.

The English Café meets on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Classes start on February 18. The Café is at Trinity Presbyterian Church on 2737 Bayview Avenue, one block south of the 401. We are on TTC bus route 11, and there is a stop right next to our building at the corner of Bayview and Fifeshire/Truman Road.

Space is limited. Please click below if you would like us to save a place for you at the English Café, or you would like more information.
