Ben Wilson Chan
March 29, 1959 - December 11, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ben Wilson Chan. He passed peacefully in his sleep on December 11, 2025. He is survived by his cherished wife, Joyce, his daughter, Erin, and his son, Ethan. He is also survived by his loving brother, Nelson, and his caring sister, Ava.

Ben was a shining example of kindness, wisdom and compassion. His commitment extended far beyond his family to his many friends and colleagues. Ben’s life was built on two foundations: the work he took pride in and the family he adored. Every milestone he reached in his career was for our family.

He later found pleasure in the game of golf, enjoying the challenge and the camaraderie on the course. And, of course, there was hockey - shouting at the TV, his passion for the game and the Toronto Maple Leafs was unshakeable.

While our grief is immense, we take comfort in knowing his life was filled with love, laughter, and an abundance of beautiful moments. We will miss him terribly, but the legacy of his kind heart will live on in all of us.

In lieu of flowers, a tribute donation can be made to  SHN Foundation, Kidney & Diabetes Care  or  HF Care Foundation (previously Hong Fook Mental Heath Association).  If you prefer to send flowers (no strong fragrances), please deliver by Sunday, December 21 to Chapel Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (8911 Woodbine Ave. Markham, ON L3R 5G1).
